meaghan and randi
"my very best friend was diagnosed with a genetic form of breast cancer during covid at age 35. she had to endure the majority of it without her support system due to restrictions of visitors and her compromised immune system. one year later her younger sister was diagnosed with the same genetic cancer. watching the two sisters battle the disease together was both devastating and inspiring. my best friend will celebrate being cancer free for 5 years this october. unfortunately her sister passed away from metastatic triple negative breast cancer one year after she was diagnosed at the age of 34. i could not imagine battling cancer while grieving the loss of my sister during covid. through all of that she remained an amazing mother to her three kids, helped her parents grieve a daughter, and remained the same wonderful person I grew up with without missing a beat. if that’s not the definition of a strong woman I don’t know what is. ❤️"
